2010-11 “TRY-OUTS”    
SA HORNET Volleyball Club
“Play hard….Practice Harder….”

Date: Sunday July 18th & Sunday August 1st !!!
“We will also be doing private try-outs ALL weeks, ALL times, so just call.” 

Place:     St. Anthony’s Catholic High-School (STA), 3200 McCullough Avenue

Cost: $30 – with advanced notice!!! Please be sure to fill out our online “Try-Out Guest Form,” 
                    so that we know you’re coming.  Next, print the “2010-11 Tryout Information Sheet”
                    and mail in your $30 payment along with the Information Sheet by July 14th !!!!!
           $40 – AT THE DOOR (no checks accepted)
          *(try-out fees are non-refundable)

Please be sure to wear appropriate volleyball clothing and gear: comfortable shorts,  t-shirt, any type of tennis or running shoe is fine, and kneepads.  If you have to purchase kneepads, buy the cheapest pair that you can find (any type will do), your club fee also includes a pair of volleyball kneepads.

*Girls ages 8, 9 &10 can be placed on one of our “SPIKER Teams”.  If their skill level exceeds that of a “SPIKER   Team” we will make the recommendation for a more skilled 12’s team, which is mostly 11yr.olds

** Call First**Any 17’s or 18’s interested in trying out for SA HORNET please call and let us know that you are coming and what position you are interested in or looking for as some positions are already taken.

Age Groups are defined by your daughters birthday as of Aug. 31st 2011, how old will she be on that date?
Ex: If she turns 14 on or before that date she must play on a 14 & under team, if after that date she could still play another year in 13 & under.
It will be our goal to find a spot on a team for every try-out attendee, with the exception of the National teams. If you are trying out for a National team and are not selected we will place you on a Local or Regional team.  We will try to place each athlete according to their specific age group and current skill level.

*Please be prepared to accept or decline a position to a team once selected as we will not hold positions for anyone.
Selections for teams will be made soon after each try-out.
